Maya was an okay sleeper before the age of 4 months old, with the help of nursing, rocking and swinging.
Once she became more alert and aware of her surrounding around 4 months, she refused to be nursed to sleep and got used to being in the swing to sleep. She was constantly overtired, and screamed a lot. We, as a new parents were exhausted, and didn’t know how we could help her to get more sleep.
Thanks to Meaghan, she guided us on what we could do to help Maya to sleep better. She was considerate and willing to call us back when Maya needed me during one of our phone calls. We were comfortable with the strategies and felt it was a good solution for all of us. Important things we learnt were to be consistent and lots of patience. We struggled most with short naps, but it got better after Meaghan helped us with adding a nap routine and working on the timing.
We are happy to say that Maya is sleeping through 10-11.5 hours a night (with occasional night wakings) and taking 2.5 to 4 hours of naps daily.
